Mommy Beta!

I am so excited to be a guest blogger for one of my favorite, "go to" mommy blogs... Mommy Beta! When asked about doing a little write up for some tips for photographing your kiddos, I jumped right in and wanted to share some of my favorite photographing "secrets" ;) 

Each of the writers/mothers for Mommy Beta is a first time mom and they each had their darling babies in 2010! As a first time mother it is a must read! It covers everything ;)

What a totally fun couple! I had the best time photographing Alexa and Chris during their engagement session! We strolled around Healdsburg which was so fun and casual stopping for photos and drinks at Barndiva... Could not ask for anything better! I am so excited for their wedding in August!

A little side story...

So last weekend I was speaking with my Uncle John and we were talking all about photography and how much I am loving my "job" ;) (I have said it before and I'll say it again... I am so lucky to do what I love!)

Anyway... back to my little side story... Uncle John told me he remembers the day I received my first "real" camera! He and my mother were cleaning out my Grandpa Willett's garage and were deciding what they were going to do with all the "stuff." When they came to the camera my mom asked if she could pass the camera on to me seeing as I was "really getting into photography." (At this time I was around 10!) Of course Uncle John did not mind, and with that I received my first "real" camera! Obviously this camera is so special to me for so many reasons, but I just wanted to share how funny life is, that at such a young age something as simple as receiving my Grandpa's camera could have such an impact.

You may remember these amazingly darling kiddos from here... and I have to say this session with Graham and Georgia was just as much fun as the first! I love walking in the front door being greeted by Miss Georgia and her big smile. She immediately jumps back into telling me stories about anything and everything, which I totally love! It makes for such a relaxing and enjoyable photo session! Graham was just so cute in his Polo shirt and vest I can hardly stand it!!! I just love seeing the little guys all dressed up, so cute! He was all smiles as well, making my photo session with these two a total dream! 
I hope you enjoy these as much as the first! Thank you Graham and Georgia for being so welcoming and always so much fun to work with! XO

Amy and Nathan... |Bay Area Wedding Photographer

What an amazing day for two very amazing people! Amy and Nathan had the most beautiful wedding at the Forest House Lodge in Forest Hill! The day was filled with excitement and laughter from the bridal suite to the ceremony and onto the reception. Everything about the day was beautiful down to the last detail (making it very hard to limit the photos I posted ;) ) The ceremony location was stunning looking out over the mountains, made only better by the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time :) (One of my favorite parts!)
