Both of their websites have become a daily read for me, full of inspiration and fabulous tid-bits for anyone who loves photography, babies and or course brides! ;)

Julie and Gal... |Bay Area Wedding Photographer

A few weeks ago I had the privilege to snap some fun photos of Julie and Gal for their engagement session! We had a blast hiking Castle Rock where there were some amazing views of the Santa Cruz mountains and the Pacific Ocean! It was just beautiful! I am so excited to capture their special day in August!

My New Obsession!

For most of my photo shoots I carry around this huge backpack that weighs 1,000 lbs (ok, not that much, but a lot!) and I am the first to admit that it gets heavy (obviously) and I don't always want to carry it, especially if I am just going to the park with my son and want to just get a few photos of him! So, I was on the hunt for a fun/cute/practical camera bag and finally found one :) One of my friends actually bought it for me for my birthday and I could not be happier or more obsessed! It is perfect! It is enough for one camera body and a few lens options! Just what I need for a day at the park or a family outing! I rounded out my wonderful Arizona trip with a great family session of Wylder with his two favorite people, Mom and Dad :) He was such a great sport during the entire session and loved being outside! Here are just a few of my favorites from this amazing day with an amazing family!

Wylder Nation!

What an amazing event put on by some amazing people! Wydler Nation proved to be a very successful event to help raise money in support for Wylder and the Nemimann-Pick Foundation. Amazing auction items were donated, from signed guitars by Alice Cooper and Chris Daughtry, signed athletic gear, wonderful bottles of wine, and even amazing gifts for the kiddos! It was a huge turn out and I feel so blessed to be apart of something so wonderful!

Back to Reality...

Well, I am back from Arizona and spent the day uploading all the photos from my fantastic weekend with Wylder and his family! There are so many greats photos it is hard to narrow them down, but I had to share two right away that just melted my heart!

After spending the weekend with this little man, Wylder, I further realize how wonderful and amazing he really is! He is living with a rare disease, Neimann-Pick Type A, and faces daily challenges, but through it all you can still see the sparkle in his eye and his wide smile and giggle that just makes you laugh!

I have so much more to tell you all about Wylder Nation and this amazing event that raised over $15,000 for the Neimann-Pick foundation and for Wylder himself to continue treatments!

Wylder Nation: Joining Forces so that One Child’s Life Will Change Many!

This week I am heading off to Arizona to photograph Wylder Nation! Wylder is the most amazing little man, who at 7 months was diagnosed with Neimann-Pick Disease Type A . Wylder has shown us time and time again, after numerous surgeries and dealing with this disease on a day to day basis, what an incredible fighter he is! I am so lucky and honored to be a part of this amazing event to help change Wylder's life and the lifes of many more!

It is said best here...

              Life can be a revolving door – People coming and going, many of which we never really

get a chance to know. However, there are also people that come into our lives and

leave permanent footprints on our heart.

 

Despite being diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder called Niemann Pick Type A at7 months old,

Wylder James has managed to forever

enrich the lives of those he has touched.

 

They said he would never walk and yet he has grabbed our hands and taken us on a

journey that defines courage. He has taken forward steps while showing us how to

have perspective along the way.

 

They said he would never talk and yet he has spoken to everyone he has come into

contact with, teaching us lessons about true love and perseverance along the way. His

voice has been heard.

 

With uncertainty facing him everyday, he manages to

inspire hope, belief and to never say never.

 

On March 19 evening dedicated to him and the human spirit.

 

March 19th, 2011 we hope to do for him what he has done for us.

Lily Turns 1!... |Bay Area Children's Photographer

Sweet little Lily turned 1 last weekend! (you might remember her here :) ) It was such a great party with Lily's closest family and friends and I felt so lucky to be a part of it! Sweet Lily looked fabulous as always in her cupcake dress and had a blast in her "ball pit" (great idea Mama Jill!) Happy 1st Birthday sweet Lily!

Meet baby Audrey! Such a cute little munchkin that melted my heart as soon as I saw her! Big sister Amelia did such a great job making sure Audrey was well tended to the entire photo session, and to my surprise Audrey only slept in Amelia's arms... in just about ever solo picture of Audrey she is wide awake! Nothing like a little sister love! Congrats on the newest addition to the fam! XO
