What a truly amazing event put on by truly amazing women! This year's most anticipated fundraising event, The Red Party, did not disappoint!!! Everything about the night was so wonderful from the amazing event designs and decor of Stanlee Gatti, to fabulous auction items, and an appearance by celebrity guest Renee Russo!
Here is a bit about the Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome and this wonderful WAS Foundation!
"Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome (WAS) is a rare autoimmune deficiency found only in boys. Children suffering from WAS can have low platelets and bleeding, immunodeficiency and infection, increased incidence of malignancies, including lymphoma and leukemia, and eczema. At present, the only hope for a cure is a successful bone marrow or cord blood transplant.
A courageous toddler, named Sebastian, lost his battle with WAS in 2009 and it was his spirit in the face of adversity that has become the inspiration for our cause.
Our hope is to save as many of lives as possible by connecting WAS families with the global medical community, funding hardship grants and medical research. With your generous support, we will be able to accomplish all of these goals."
